USA Epoxy Floors uses concrete staining to create permanent, vibrant color by penetrating the slab. After thorough cleaning and substrate preparation, acid or water-based stains develop natural variation and unique tones. The result is a durable, visually distinct floor in Tillson.
Each concrete staining project in Tillson begins with a slab inspection to determine porosity and readiness. USA Epoxy Floors removes contaminants and, when needed, diamond grinds the surface to ensure stains can penetrate fully. This approach is essential for older concrete and high-traffic commercial spaces in Tillson that may have previous coatings or residue. Acid-based stains are selected for rich, variegated finishes with earth tones, reacting with the concrete for non-repeating patterns. Water-based stains deliver broader color choices, and can be layered or blended for custom results, frequently requested by clients in Ulster County. Precise application, masking, or sawcut scoring adds design versatility. Final steps include neutralizing acid stain (if applied), cleaning, and drying. A compatible sealer is then used to seal in the color, repel dust, and protect against spills. Whether in Tillson homes, retail stores, or commercial buildings, customers receive a low-maintenance, fade-resistant stained concrete surface that stands up to everyday use.
USA Epoxy Floors prepares concrete in Tillson with mechanical abrasion to allow stains to soak deep into the slab. This method provides color that is physically within the concrete and not just a surface layer. Floors maintain their appearance year after year, with no peeling or chipping.
Concrete staining in Tillson results in mottled, natural-looking floors. Acid stains bring unpredictable variation, while water-based stains control hue with layering. USA Epoxy Floors can add masking or custom scoring for tailored designs, popular in commercial and residential projects within Ulster County.
USA Epoxy Floors inspects concrete in Tillson for sealers or residues that block absorption. George tests the slab, chooses proper mechanical cleaning, and confirms readiness for stain. This attention avoids blotchy results and ensures uniform, vibrant color in every Tillson project.

More About Us
Yes. Tillson and communities across Ulster County, New York. USA Epoxy Floors has been doing this work since 2001 and travels throughout the region for it, residential and commercial alike.
The space is cleared, the slab is inspected and profiled mechanically, repairs go in, and the coating system is applied in stages. Cure windows between coats are part of the schedule, not delays. At the end the floor is walked through together before the job closes.
Usually. The existing coating comes off mechanically, and the slab underneath is inspected to identify why the previous system failed. Poor preparation and moisture vapor account for most failures. The cause is addressed before a new system goes down.
It depends on the floor. Epoxy builds thicker and bonds deep; polyaspartic cures quickly, tolerates colder installs, and resists UV yellowing. Many jobs use an epoxy base under a polyaspartic topcoat. The specification follows the slab inspection, the moisture readings, and how the space is used.
Frequently. Polyaspartic chemistry cures across a wider temperature range than standard epoxy, which makes cold-weather work viable in many unheated Tillson spaces. Substrate temperature is the controlling factor and gets checked before scheduling.

“4 other contractors showed up, did their pitch, and then had to "go back to the office to prepare a quote" - 2 of them never responded and the other two estimates seemed high - George on the other hand showed up, gave me my options and provided a written quote right on the spot that was about 15% less than the other quotes and went on to do a superb job on my garage floor. I would recommend him highly!”
