USA Epoxy Floors has provided mudroom flooring solutions in Thompson, New York for homeowners, including concrete grinding, patch and crack repair, installation of resinous and epoxy coatings, and complete mudroom floor restoration, for over 25 years. Our approach covers every step from removing old finishes and addressing rough or spalled concrete to installing resilient coatings designed for the entry area’s traffic patterns.
Mudrooms serve as the main line of defense between the outdoors and interior living space. Flooring here deals with ongoing wet shoe traffic, abrasive sand and dirt, deicing salts, and seasonal moisture. Durable, non-slip finishes are key, along with stain resistance and easy cleanability to keep the transition into the home safe and visually organized.
Our experience with mudroom floor installation, restoration, and repairs in Thompson lets us create robust systems for new entryway floors or bring damaged ones back from years of abuse. We use mechanical preparation to ensure the best bond and select slip-resistant, stain-rejecting finishes to match expected wear. Each flooring system is planned around the actual use: debris, humidity, cleaning needs, and daily entry and exit. We deliver mudroom floors that stay sound and easy to maintain, even under tough, messy conditions in Thompson.
Peeling epoxy, cracked resin, tire marks, worn lanes, blisters, and separated coating in Thompson can indicate a localized defect or a failing floor system. USA Epoxy Floors provides Epoxy Floor Repair by testing adhesion, checking slab conditions, and preparing only the area that can support a bonded repair. Ulster County properties receive a repaired section or a documented recommendation for removal or resurfacing when patching would not hold.

Yes. Mudroom coating is part of the regular range across Thompson and Ulster County. The company is based in Fishkill, family operated and veteran owned, and travels throughout the region for this work.
Properly prepared and correctly specified, it takes years of traffic, impact, and routine chemical contact. Service life comes down to preparation quality and whether the system matched the conditions. Upkeep is sweeping and periodic wet cleaning.
Often, yes. Polyaspartic and polyurea cure across a wider temperature range than standard epoxy, which opens up winter installs in many unheated Thompson spaces. Substrate temperature governs, so each space is checked before scheduling.
Cracks, pitting, and spalling are repaired as part of preparation. Structural issues that go beyond surface repair are flagged during the walkthrough rather than coated over, a coating does not fix a slab problem underneath it.
Slip resistance is specified deliberately. Broadcast flake and quartz systems add texture, and anti-slip additives can be worked into the topcoat where the area calls for it. The right level depends on how the Mudroom is used.
George Tsinias, the owner, estimates and works every job personally from walkthrough to final inspection. USA Epoxy Floors has been operating since 2001. Call or text (845) 464-2539 to get on the schedule in Thompson.

“4 other contractors showed up, did their pitch, and then had to "go back to the office to prepare a quote" - 2 of them never responded and the other two estimates seemed high - George on the other hand showed up, gave me my options and provided a written quote right on the spot that was about 15% less than the other quotes and went on to do a superb job on my garage floor. I would recommend him highly!”
“We are so happy to have discovered George Tsinias. He is an old school artisan and gentleman who takes pride in his work, takes every issue seriously, answers every question, and is a meticulous workman. The garage floor he did for us is stunning. He is humble, fun, courteous, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about adjacent trades and competent in several of them. I am delighted to give him the highest recommendation and look forward to referring him to friends and to using him again.”
