USA Epoxy Floors provides flooring services for new construction homes in New Paltz, New York, helping builders and homeowners with concrete surface grinding, joint repair, slab crack repair, epoxy and resinous floor system installation, as well as polished and stained concrete finishes, for over 25 years. We address garages, basements, kitchens, living areas, patios, walkways, and entryways, ensuring each space receives the appropriate finish for its use.
New construction brings unique challenges that are more than just picking colors or finishes. Fresh concrete can have high moisture content, construction debris, curing film, or surface unevenness that all affect how a floor system bonds and performs. Every area within a new home, the garage, basement, main rooms, and outdoor spaces, needs the right surface for how it will be used and maintained while meeting both the builder’s vision and the homeowner’s needs.
Our process for new construction home flooring in New Paltz starts with inspecting and testing the concrete, conducting moisture checks, and grinding to the right profile. Cracks and joints are repaired, and concrete may be leveled, patched, or cleaned to remove paint, dust, or leftover adhesives from other trades. With the substrate ready, we can install systems from full flake epoxy in garages to stain and polish in main living spaces, or waterproof and moisture-resistant coatings in basements. Our experience with new construction in New Paltz helps ensure every floor is ready for long use and ready for move-in.

Yes. New Paltz and communities throughout Ulster County, New York. USA Epoxy Floors has been coating floors since 2001 and regularly takes New Construction Home projects across the region.
It follows the conditions. Epoxy builds thicker and bonds deep, polyaspartic cures fast and holds color under UV. Heavier-duty New Construction Home floors often run a thicker epoxy base with a chemical-resistant topcoat. Specification comes after the floor is seen and tested.
That is what the specification is for. Forklift traffic, vehicle loads, foot traffic, and point impact all inform the build. A floor that was properly profiled and correctly specified handles the demands of the space for years with routine cleaning.
Topcoat chemistry is selected against what actually contacts the floor, solvents, oils, food acids, cleaning agents. In New Construction Home spaces with regular chemical contact or wash-down cycles, the system is built for it rather than adapted afterward.
Usually. Failed coatings are removed mechanically, the slab is inspected to determine why the prior system let go, and the cause is addressed before a new build goes on. Coating over a failure without finding the cause repeats it.

“4 other contractors showed up, did their pitch, and then had to "go back to the office to prepare a quote" - 2 of them never responded and the other two estimates seemed high - George on the other hand showed up, gave me my options and provided a written quote right on the spot that was about 15% less than the other quotes and went on to do a superb job on my garage floor. I would recommend him highly!”
