Epoxy floor resurfacing from USA Epoxy Floors renews older or damaged coatings through grinding, repairs, and a new resinous system. Preparation targets adhesion, not full removal. The finished floor regains a seamless, clean appearance with restored durability.
Every epoxy floor resurfacing project in New Paltz starts with a close assessment of the existing coating: George Tsinias, owner of USA Epoxy Floors, checks for delamination, peeling, cracks, and moisture conditions unique to New Paltz construction. Surfaces are moisture-tested, adhesion is screened, and any irreparable damage is identified. Using diamond grinders, all loose or failed coating is removed and the entire floor is mechanically prepared to the right CSP for the new system. Edges, joints, and cracks in New Paltz floors are patched and leveled to provide a stable base. After repair and preparation, a new resinous system is installed. This includes a primer for bonding, base coat, broadcast or pigment if needed, and a protective topcoat suited for the specific use case in New Paltz, garage, shop, commercial, or industrial. Slip-resistant finishes, decorative flakes, or chemical resistance can be integrated. Each layer is applied inside its recoat window, ensuring proper bond and long-term stability. George personally inspects the finished resurfaced floor for coverage, film build, and defect correction. The updated floor in New Paltz delivers renewed looks and performance, restoring what works without the downtime and cost of total floor replacement.
USA Epoxy Floors provides epoxy floor resurfacing across New Paltz for floors that need restoration but do not require complete demolition. George evaluates each slab, mechanically removes loose or failing material, and applies a new coating system for renewed durability, all with minimal disruption.
In New Paltz, resurfacing is the answer for floors with peeling retail kits, delaminated coatings, or wear from heavy use. Every failed layer is stripped by grinding before new materials are installed. The finished floor solves visible failures while correcting what caused them underneath.
Resurfacing in New Paltz uses resinous systems tailored for the environment, industrial-grade for factories, chemical-resistant for shops, or decorative for garages. George guides the specification and finishing process so every resurfaced floor is matched to its real-world use.

More About Us
Yes. USA Epoxy Floors handles Epoxy Floor Resurfacing throughout New Paltz and the surrounding Ulster County area. The scope is set after the floor is walked and the slab condition is assessed, so the quote reflects the actual job rather than a generic package.
Work starts with inspecting the slab and testing for moisture where conditions call for it. The surface is mechanically prepared by diamond grinding or shot blasting, damage is repaired, and the coating system is applied in sequence with cure time between coats. The floor is walked through with you at completion.
Most residential-scale work is a one to two day install with cure time before the floor takes traffic. Larger floors and slabs needing significant repair run longer. Polyaspartic topcoats shorten the return to service. Timing specific to your floor is covered at the estimate.
Most structurally sound concrete is. Cracks, pitting, spalling, and existing coatings are handled during preparation. Slabs with active moisture movement are tested first and specified accordingly. If a floor is not a good candidate, you will be told that during the walkthrough.
Mechanical profiling, diamond grinding or shot blasting, so the coating keys into the concrete rather than resting on it. This is the step that determines whether a floor holds. Acid etching alone does not produce a reliable profile and is not used in place of it.

“4 other contractors showed up, did their pitch, and then had to "go back to the office to prepare a quote" - 2 of them never responded and the other two estimates seemed high - George on the other hand showed up, gave me my options and provided a written quote right on the spot that was about 15% less than the other quotes and went on to do a superb job on my garage floor. I would recommend him highly!”
“We are so happy to have discovered George Tsinias. He is an old school artisan and gentleman who takes pride in his work, takes every issue seriously, answers every question, and is a meticulous workman. The garage floor he did for us is stunning. He is humble, fun, courteous, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about adjacent trades and competent in several of them. I am delighted to give him the highest recommendation and look forward to referring him to friends and to using him again.”
