USA Epoxy Floors levels concrete floors by grinding high spots and filling low areas using precision tools and leveling compounds. This service delivers a flat, finished slab ready for coatings, tile, carpet, or polished concrete in Kent.
Every Kent floor leveling job with USA Epoxy Floors begins with an assessment using laser levels and straightedges to map out high and low spots across the slab. George Tsinias, owner of USA Epoxy Floors, checks for moisture issues and reviews previous repairs or patches common in older Dutchess County properties to determine the right preparation method. Grinding equipment equipped with industrial diamond tooling flattens the surface, while self-leveling compounds and engineered patches are installed in low areas. All products are applied to specification, with careful feathering at transitions for a seamless finish. This method is used ahead of resinous coating installations, tile, carpet, or as a prep step for polished concrete. Once the surface cures and final checks are made for flatness and level, the floor is cleaned and ready for the next construction stage or final finishing. The process produces a true, level substrate on residential and commercial sites in Kent and throughout Dutchess County, suitable for any type of finished flooring system.
USA Epoxy Floors uses diamond grinders in Kent for accurate removal of slab high points and irregularities before any leveling material is installed. This mechanical approach supports a flat surface profile and strong primer adhesion, eliminating future delamination risks in Dutchess County.
George applies self-leveling compounds that match the substrate condition and intended finish, ensuring flatness from edge to edge. In Kent, these materials are expertly blended for durability and feathered where needed to avoid cracks and uneven seams in the finished floor.
George Tsinias personally evaluates every Kent floor, identifies underlying issues like moisture or prior bad patches, and maps out the leveling approach. This diagnostic step prevents hidden problems from causing failures after new flooring goes down in Dutchess County.

More About Us
Yes. Kent and communities across Dutchess County, New York. USA Epoxy Floors has been doing this work since 2001 and travels throughout the region for it, residential and commercial alike.
The space is cleared, the slab is inspected and profiled mechanically, repairs go in, and the coating system is applied in stages. Cure windows between coats are part of the schedule, not delays. At the end the floor is walked through together before the job closes.
Usually. The existing coating comes off mechanically, and the slab underneath is inspected to identify why the previous system failed. Poor preparation and moisture vapor account for most failures. The cause is addressed before a new system goes down.
It depends on the floor. Epoxy builds thicker and bonds deep; polyaspartic cures quickly, tolerates colder installs, and resists UV yellowing. Many jobs use an epoxy base under a polyaspartic topcoat. The specification follows the slab inspection, the moisture readings, and how the space is used.
Frequently. Polyaspartic chemistry cures across a wider temperature range than standard epoxy, which makes cold-weather work viable in many unheated Kent spaces. Substrate temperature is the controlling factor and gets checked before scheduling.

“4 other contractors showed up, did their pitch, and then had to "go back to the office to prepare a quote" - 2 of them never responded and the other two estimates seemed high - George on the other hand showed up, gave me my options and provided a written quote right on the spot that was about 15% less than the other quotes and went on to do a superb job on my garage floor. I would recommend him highly!”
